This is a depiction of me on my first solo expedition. Recently, while remodeling our laundry room, the contractor asked, "Do you want a shelf between the cabinets, or do you want to do something fun?" I assumed the question was rhetorical, turned around immediately without saying a word, and perched at the computer to prepare something ready to hang before he left for the day. This is the image I prepared.

A Century of Experience, Put to Work for You
For nonprofits with too few resources and young entrepreneurs (of any age) bootstrapping brilliant new ideas, we’re here to help.
Dr. Sparrow envisions a shared economy of scale that turns conventional wisdom on its head—where the value of resources and creativity are multiplied through community and collaboration. We believe our collective experience and the creative assets we develop in our labs are best served when shared—enabling others’ ideas to thrive and take flight.
La Voliera provides low-cost or no-cost consulting in marketing, user experience, graphic design, copy editing, product development, digital promotions, and more. Together, we create momentum, turning your ideas into grand performances. Before long, you’ll be soaring independently—but always part of the flock.
Join us in reimagining what’s possible. Let’s take your vision Beyond the Point.

The Early Bird
I'm the one on the right. Poor Jem—what a trooper. The mask was made out of leather by an artist who happens to be local—I was not 'local' when I commissioned it. Caroline Guyer, of High Springs, makes these entirely by hand—she's brilliant! You have to see her in action. Search the web for PBS Art Loft: Leather Mask Making.

The Brilliant Assistant
One of Nom Kinnear King's gorgeous oil paintings, The Assistant, hangs at the entrance to our precision products development lab. Growing up, my folks took me to the Renaissance Festival every year for my birthday—that's where I first met Dr. Sparrow. In Nom's The Assistant, the figure's festive epaulettes bring me back to those wonderful years. And, seriously, the resemblance is uncanny.
